Ball bearings with locating pins?

Never seen these before,
A regular ball bearing but they seem to have a roll pin inserted in the side of them.

Anywhere to get them?
Or a special name to search for?

I will not be trying to drill them myself so it will be some liquid lock if I can't find direct replacements!

Yes, the housing is split so it's a fairly loose fit.

I would have thought its a job for an EDM drill.

Peg bearing maybe? My RG250 has these on the crankshaft and they locate in grooves in the engine casing. Mine were 62 x 25 x17, which I managed to get original Suzuki ones from, sorry eBay. cmsnl, wemoto, are a couple of other places to try.

The pins are pretty close to the edge, just about against the beveled edge.

I only want 2 of them (not the same size) and wondered if anybody has seen them before/knows a name/supplier for them

Bearings get modified by manufactureres all the time, the bearing numbers quite often only tell you what they started off as. Many are ground undersize, steps ground in, circliped, drilled,,,,,,,,,,,,, happens all the time.

I'd say it was anti rotation.

Loctite 641 or similar would be the modern replacement.

Yamaha use them in their gearboxes, but not sure how you'd get to do a crosscheck to find the one you want.

Anti-rotation again - I had to hard turn some outer races for the other direction, circlip grooves for axial location Vs £800 each flanged imperial taper-rollers... 5 of 'em :/

As said its and anti-rotation pin - used when you need the bearing to move sideways in the housing to accommodate thermal expansion in the shaft or housing and the fit is such to allow it - bearing the other end should be fixed in place. Usually a suffix on the part number to indicate you need that option - talk to a decent bearing supplier.

Bearing lock won't help much if it needs to allow much movement - and then when it spins in the housing you're in deep do-doo if its important.

Expansion can cause pretty quick bearing failure. Depending on load, you can specify the housing fit to stop rotation and allow it without the pin - so when you wander down the shopfloor and someones got a flap wheel in a pipe grinder giving the bore a good seeing to "as its a bit tight" you tend to get a little agitated!! Then discovering some important plant out there is now suffering fretting corrosion as a result . . . grrr

Originals are Koyo, the part number on the bearings does come up but only as a standard bearing.
I did a bit of searching last night and found a suffixed number with the pin for one of the pair but could not find a supplier.

Originals are available from the manufacturer but the price will probably make it uneconomic to repair.

Carbide slot drill might do it, if you can find one that small (most ickle ones tend to be endmills and not centre-cutting) - would need lots of RPM though.
OR - see if a local works has an EDM? It would be a pretty quick and easy job, might not break the bank...
