Bambu studio bed lay flat.

When using cura I know the model lays 100 flat but bambu studio seems a bit more quirky.

However I believe I have managed to print one of the locking rings with it flat. It will only go one way as there is a large step on the one side.

This is what I have printed in PLA.

I am pretty certain I have printed one that I sliced for PetG but I don't have it handy today.

I anyone is bored and can see how the locking rings prints for them I would be grateful.

Yes mate. I will add link. I was feeling a bit rough last night. My memory was struggling with things I normally find easy. Woke up this morning after a long sleep and I feel fine.

I imported the file into the Bambu slicer. Yes, there's only one sensible orientation. I'm not sure it would come out very well without supports so I painted some on and its printing at the moment. I suspect the supports might be a bit tedious to dig out, but we'll find out soon enough

I was right - the supports are a pain in the proverbial. The problem I had was that I painted supports on only where I thought they were needed, but the slicer put them in everywhere. I might have a go tomorrow without any support and see what happens. I'm still trying to get my head round this Bambu software and I have to say I'm less than impressed with it - overly complex, keeps losing the camera and has crashed several times.

Have you got the X1C?

I am not over enamoured with Bambu Studio but the Handy version is mint.
Main reason I like it are a lot of prints are preplated. I can just take a full plate off and a fresh one on and start printing from where ever I am.

I get a few problems with the AMS but that's due to routing cables and the cupboard it residents in is tight.
The cable to the AMS is not long enough to be able plug in and slide printer in and ensure routine has no tight turns.

If you're printing the item from PLA, try printing the supports in PETG (or Bambu do a proper support material for PLA/PETG if you're feeling a bit more flush)
That way the supports don't stick to the main item, and are easier to remove.

I will give that a go when I get my 1500mm AMS cable so I can use AMS but I am confused as I think I printed a couple that had no need for supports.
Hopefully I will get to check tomorrow.
