Bare hot rod type chassis source ?

I'm brewing an idea to use my 1972 Spridget as component donor for a 1950's style special along the lines of a MGTC replica.
At present just an idea / dream.
First off I need a chassis. I can design myself but to be honest cost of steel, my health etc makes it viable to buy a bare chassis and adapt but can't find any suitable. Most hot rod type chassis use Jag independant or multilink type rear suspension. I want to keep standard Spridget leafs. At front the intention is standard set up and using new or excellent used original crossmember. Wheelbase will be extended around 12" to come more into line with that of the MGTC. Engine will be mounted 6" forward so slightly narrower gearbox tunnel and possible to have longer footwells for more space. Easy to extend the A Series gearbox remote by the extra 6".
Anyone know of a supplier of such a bare chassis ? Basically the two main rails and front / rear crosspieces.

Hi Paul, that's a 32 ford chassis, yes I can do you a pair of main rails , also can do a u weld centre crossmember kit, cheaper than making your own.

The chassis in the photo looks very similar to the black cab chassis we used to build at Thompson chassis ?

I wouldn't do it with a Spridget. You would need to get a suitable ID for the chassis anyway or put it through IVA at which point the disadvantages of old engine/gearbox/mechanicals start to outweigh the advantages and you might as well use more modern stuff like a Zetec engine with a type-9 gearbox. You could probably fund all the parts by selling the Spridget.

With a Spridget to start with I'd be far more inclined to turn it into a Sebring Sprite replica.

That takes me back. BIL (to be) had a '35 PA as his daily ride. Smoked a bit, so I put in new rings. Too young to drive it on the road, I tested it out round Rye House standium. Crash box with a lovely polished slotted gate. Lift latch to get reverse. Really awfull cable brakes. When it got too much trouble, he flogged it for £10. ... Guys who bought it stopped for a bite on the way home, while in the pub, some kids smashed every bit of glass in the car. The buyers were a bit miffed, as they especially wanted the Yeager LeCoultre instruments.

Had my idea "shot down in flames"
Seems whilst I can get an age related registration on building a special based on all the parts from my Sprite I will loose the road tax exemption.
Now it's plan B (there is also a plan C).

That chassis in the pic is nothing like a cab chassis, cab chassis is C section inside another C section, also wheelbase is different and the 32 has a reveal along the side of the frame rail, the cab rails are flat.

The cab chassis with its double C section is very strong though, Most hotrod chassis are in the 100" to 108" wheelbase, Cabs are considerably longer but can be shortened to suit.

Regarding your comment "Most hot rod type chassis use Jag independant or multilink type rear suspension" its not really true, most people have moved on these days, the Jag used to be a favourite in the 70's and early 80's but is rarely used these days, independant and multi link rears are also rarely seen on hotrods either these days, they tend to be used on streetrods.

I'd love to build a hot rod or street rod, More based on a pick up type body than a car.
Are there any places out there that offer this type of thing.
It would be a new build no donor car although we own a vehicle dismantlers so can get my hands on a fair bit of gear. I have access to a global jig also for setting up, I have plenty of spare time, ( no partner and don't see having one anytime soon) Bonus.
Any suggestions?
