Had the idea in my head to make a batman logo on a stand, think it goes back to my childhood when I wanted a real metal batarang lol

Nice one, have you tried throwing it?
How did you cut it?

I was tempted to throw it lol, but its only 1mm steel so it would have prolly bent on impact, I cut it out with a cutting disk on an angle grinder and a selection of hand files

Absolutely! Check ebay, shedloads of LED's!

well I don't have a blow torch yet as there about £60 so I held it over the gas cooker flame with some grips till i got the blue effect I wanted

Thank you for all the great comments, l'm really enjoying making these, wanted to do this years ago but bringing your children up is far more important money wise, now its my turn for a few lovely tools :-)
