The brass valve/trigger block in my BOC130 has been playing up, leaking gas and becoming hard to turn use. I've replaced the little o rings and keep gluing the cap back on, but thats been getting in the way of actual welding!!
Since the torch has seen better days i decided to fit a eurotorch happy days.
Block fitted and feeding wire really smoothly
Close up of the feed tube.
drilled out the plastic mounting that held the end of the torch line to accommodate the feed tube
Added a gas purge switch as well
little 2-way switch from Maplins is just the job. one way on centre off and the other way non latching for the purge function
The Earth lead has also been replaced with an old jump lead, The plastic croc clips had busted. Removed the plastic and cut back the teeth of the clip and drilled out to accept the screw.
