Belt snapped! :(

Whilst putting some nails in today the compressor stopped filling up and when I check it out the belt had snapped It's a really small 24l portable but I need to use it again asap.. It's made by rockworth and I think B&Q sell that brand.. would they stock spares? If not it's probably similar in design to a clark or and sip one and thus machine mart or halfords maybe?

Does anyone have any further suggestions? I also thought a lawn mower belt might be an option..

Some here for a start but you might find them cheaper if you search by size.

Mine uses a serpentine belt like a car (multi-rib belt.)

If the belt has a part # on it, do a google search on it or check ebay. A search may show the size, then you can look for a belt to match.

Find a local bearing stockist if you need it fast. Nearly all good bearing places do pulleys and anything to do with drives off the shelf.

Does the belt have any markings (numbers)

Measure the length of the broken one, then the width at the thickest part if it's a simply V belt, and the amount of ribs if it is a multi V

Go to you local decent motor factors and they will be able to match it with a car fan belt.

A temporary (emergency) fan belt from a motor factors might get it going until you can source the proper belt.
