Best way to retrain bend in 1/2” PCLs Rubber Alloy Hise

whats the best method to “retrain” or bend this hose 13mm ID 21mm OD?
Gentle use of a heat gun, or pour very hot water over it ?
My initial thoughts are to heat with a heat gun progressively, until hand hot, bend and lock into the perfect position; leave it constrained to go cold and hopefully take a set with the correct bend.
Will it set back in a new position?

How long would you leave the Loctite 577 secured fittings to cure before applying the bending pressure? Its now had 38 hours. Or would you leave it the full cure time of 72 hours?
Definitely don’t want the joint to the Filter (which was just rotated to the correct position) to be compromised ( note I had problems with ptfe tape 14 winds to lock up)
I cemented the fittings in with Loctite 577, and I need to bend the hose in the opposite direction.
I could have rotated the fitting back 180 degrees, but went for the fitting being locked up.
Unfortunately it had been wound in a 1ft circle, and has taken a set. Its quite stiff.

I really wish I had left the hose crimps till last - lesson learnt

Sounds like you want to rotate the fitting not "bend" the hose.

If so, make it up again, you can't twist that hose into position.

should have had a longer hose.....a longer pipe means less strain on the fittings with a longer loop.....
similar to when I have to repair plastic underground water main, useually 25mm...
the pipe is locked by the mud etc......
so I dig the hole about 750mm square and to one side of the cut original pipe....
then join the first pipe end use the hoses natural memory bend to bring the other end around to connect the other end of the original pipe......it'll use up about 1.25m of new pipe in a loop but there's NO strain on the joints.....
water pressure here is always around 3.5bar....
I do the same thing with the toilet cold water con. pipe [stainless braided] they always are to tight a bend, just need to double the length of the pipe to get a small but flexy loop.....again no strain on the PLASTIC fittings that are always used.....

here, I havn't found the extra long brass sliding adjustable connecter that u guys have in the UK....anyway this is how I do it.....

You're over-thinking it. Its a flexible hose - flex it!

If you really can't flew it to where you want, grip the two hose clamps you have put on it in a vice, or with pliers, and simply rotate the hose around the hose tail until the bend is in the direction you want.

or cut the clips off and refit the hose in the required direction

The hose will flex the other way - or just twist it on the hose tails to the current pre-set is in the right direction . . .

Sadly it wont twist , they are really good barbs
Only asked as I straightened it in a central heated house by strapping to a rod, it seemed fine for a few mins, and curved back.
Hopefully it will bend again (without flattening) and then if I heat it constrained, it might stay fixed in the right curve.
Failing that I will cut the clips and remake it, in situ.

Might end up that way and I have ordered some more clips in just in case.
Sods law I did t have enough clips and the last order took 4 days to arrive!

Thats my problem, plus not sure how long it takes to cure enough to bend the hose against the newly glued fixtures.

I'd just get a longer piece of pipe and remake it. Is there something special about it ? I'd have quick connects on it as well so it's easier to take out when you don't need it

well a heat gun sorted the bend perfectly.

Only stupidly I bumped the hose 10 mins after gluing it.
That quick connect end was 1/2 a revolution off locked up, so pretty loose.
Just hoping it was either set off, or still liquid.

If it leaks then I will remake it. ( ordered some new clips ).
Lesson learnt, glue and lock one end up, with clips clamped up
Then glue and lock up the other end, with loose clips! And rotate hose on the barbed connector to the perfect direction and Then clamp it! Drrr So simple, once you have done it!
Lesson learnt!
