Bicycle wheel truing stand

I needed jig for wheel building and to help with occasional wheel truing. Factory made stands come with heavy price tag so i was thinking that i could make my own.

Couple of pictures:

Still not fully finished but fully functional. It had welded wing nuts for adjustment but original thread bars were cut too short for wider rear wheel hub and needed to be replaced.

I made very similar thing, I had never trued or built a wheel, I used to take my motorbike wheels to a
bloke in Putney, but it seems it's really easy to spoke a wheel. I did the adjustment different to yours, I
found a couple of bit's in the scrap bin that were perfect for it. I still haven't finished mine either[probably
never will]
