As ever I don't know what's wrong with it. The motor spins up so it's not completely scrap and means it's worth tucking away.

Check the flow switches, bleed the pump, check the electrodes for a spark. Seen a few non runners as people put detergent in the diesel tank.

that's a wetly Richards by the looks 3 hp motor and an interpump make of pump. I have one

That was exactly the problem with mine. Cleaned the fuel pump and job was a good un. There's nothing better for cleaning down greasy engines

I had a hot shot for years, bought from work as scrap (the heat exchanger tubes had rotted). It really suffererd from the pump valves sticking. Remove and replace rhe valces -job done)
