I saw this while looking at a link and loved the crazy size of this valve, I saw one once at a workshop used as a anvil type set up to bash and shape metal on.
i use 4 simlar for my lounge speaker stands

I cut my teeth on the old RND 90, exposed rocker arm, push rod and tappet set up operating a single exhaust valve.The days of slow speed marine diesels ie 2 stroke 100rpm10's of thousands of horse power is still here though.

I left all that behind and went over to the dark side of platforms and FPSOsI work on diesel electric these days, but was deep sea a while back on the pre flex sulzer rta's and some small man B&W engined vessels
