BIL, is retired and being a very keen cyclist since his early teens still rides, He also sells a lot on ebay, Particularly top class sixties era racing bikes, So he consequently has quite a few parts only fit for cutting up, Hense the artwork,

Good use of "spare" parts then. Will probably sell for more than a bike bit

I have been telling my son in London, to get into the Bike sculpture making, He has friends close by that refurbish bikes and sell them for charity, I kid you not, They have a skip full of bike parts going for scrap, For a donation he could have a never ending supply,

Saw something similar outside a restaurant in France, they had the lights as entrance lights to the restaurant, maybe another idea for you.
