The trucks on the road again now. I spent about 2 hours washing it out before even starting the job. They seem to be getting aload of small holes along where it starts to bend i have just filled the holes for now but cant see it lasting very long

with the bin lorrys i suspect they will be dealing with alot of acid based material
from cola pepsi and lemons and other stuff that form an interesting acid within them until they are unloaded at the tip without any wash offs
at load offs you also have potential for deep gouges or scratches with its surface as well
add to the fact that some metal was really poor possibly when the vehicle was made has caused the fact what the bin loaded is seeing now

My only experience with bin lorries is being under them taking props off and I reckon they make them from the factory with holes cos there is nowhere underneath you can lay without getting bin drippings on you

used to look after a small fleet of builder trucks upto 7.5 ton.....
if the floor was damaged upto 10per cent I'd repair over that I replace em.....
told em straight my way or go else where.....
always used slightly thicker sheet and made a better job strengthening the corners..

id be ill and puke up with the smell working on them
used to do electrical work in the depot where the wagons were and that was bad enough in summer specialy when the tripe factory was next door as well / jeesus

As the council informed me, I can put my dog ‘waste’ in the green bin (non recyclable) as long as it is securely bagged. She fills a bucket over the 2 weeks between bin collections.id be ill and puke up with the smell working on them
I don’t know how strong a builders bag is, but some of these garbage trucks have a big ram thing inside that squishes stuff down.

there is a mad woman that lives near me that got in trouble for filling a big commercial wheelie bin most the way with her horse **** then a few bags of general waste on top to hide it.... the bin lorry wasnt fit to lift it!

she then tried selling bags of it on facebook, for £5 each or, grab a bargain at 3 for £20.......

the further thing that can be used is all of that horse manure can go into feeding the growth of the food
we had many deliveries at the alotment of horse manure that was used by everyone about 30 lots on the site so was well used by many

Couple of days later, walking past, it’s bin day, the bin man grabs the handle to pull it over to the garbage van, damn near dislocated his shoulder when the bin simply did not move, it never even rocked.
Without even looking under the lid he walks to the van, grabs a ‘far too f**** heavy’ sticker and slaps it on the bin. I never said a word.
