A couple of 'arty' things I've done in my spare time over the last couple of months.
I'm not at all artistically inclined but I find the flexibility (read, allowance to make mistakes) of this sort of stuff a nice break from the technical day job.
This was mostly to see how easy it was to work with coins, wasnt great fun but not as bad as expected.
A spider made from some scrap round bar i had lying around, The abdomen out of sheet was a bit of a pain:
Dad asked for a fire pit and a hanging sign for his summer house (which is almost exclusively used by his dogs!) so chucked these together out of some of the bits i could find on Brundles:
When buying the above from Brundles I saw they sold steel balls and bought them hoping i could think of something to make. I dont know what it is, the misses calls it the 'Cube Thing' so we will go with that:
It spins too:
