Bitumous Stonechip

I have 6 steel floor crossmembers for Landrover which I want to finish before riveting on.

I have some spare stuff which I wondered would be suitable to protect them.

They are in a zinc flame sprayed finish. Would the Soudal stonechip (bitumous) be ok put on with the shutz gun and then a few coats of black celly a month later with small spray gun?

you cant usualy paint over the bitumen type ones

search for overpaintable stonechip if thats what you want

That is what I wondered. I may just get an Acrylic or Polymer then.

metalflake is a good site and does free delivery too

i bought 5lt of black chassis paint and intend to get all my seam sealers\underseal from them too

this is a brushable polyurethane sealer which will not dry out like the bitumen crap
