Just collected circa 50kg of crushed glass blasting medium from a blasters/finishers local to me.
Had a wander whilst waiting for it to be bagged up. Fascinating (to me anyway):

Bet they've lost count of how many of these done over the years:
In the last picture above, of the two radiators being blasted all that "sand" drifted against the walls is the spent, what was crushed glass, now turned to powder.
Anyone know what PPE I should ideally be using? Presumably this stuff (crushed glass) doesn't carry the silicosis risk like if using normal "builders sand"?
