bohler thyssen rods.....

hey up all

i have found a box of 4mm bohler thyssen rods, still sealed and was wondering what they were good for, they're marked as phoenix nut s
i can find a din number which is 1913..

anyone know whether these are general purpose as the 6013's or for something specialised?

If my memory serves me well, said rods are for back gouging/chamfering?

You'll need a load of amps to run those then - and a good set of leathers! W/A

i'd best chuck 'em in t'nearest skip then as my cemont inverter will weld with 4mm rods but i don't reckon it'll have enough umpphh to gouge with (done it at work with an old lincoln oil filled set though)
