bought a duff extractor fan i think :(

well i bought a extractor fan today for my spray booth and it feels no more powerfull than a desk fan , this is the one http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/tools/3002133 dose anyone have any info on this kind of fan or what its use is for as its useless to me now

Does it really need the filter? (depends where you are extracting out to) You might find it performs better without a filter restriction.

take the filter off .it will well restrict it what size fan is it. 6 inch 9 inch or 12 or 18 inch anything less than an 18 wont be much cop

took out the filter and wow what a difference seems at least 4 times more powerfull , 120 quid spent well it seems , thanks for the advice in taking out the filter , very helpfull as always ,oh and btw its a 18" fan seems to do the job now thanks again

the fan is used to exhaust the fumes and paint. a light filter in to the booth will stop any dust entering
