Boxford vm30

hi, im wondering if there is anybody with experience of using the vm30 mill. Im trying to reinstate a machine but cannot get the rotating head to rotate. Is there a knak to it? I dont want to damage it.
Any help much appreciated.

Its been a while..............

When I messed around with one, I seem to recall a wedge type cotter pin in the side of the head? Near the graduation scale? This needs to be extracted with a slide hammer or pulled out with a suitable screw? I tried to find some old pics but the thread I posted is here?

just found some other pics.....there's a caphead and a thumbscrew/pin on the side of the head, the head is split, the thumb screw/pin locates in the zero position I think? the caphead just clamps the head onto the graduation ring should be easy to work out when you get things apart?
