Hey all,

Thought I would join up as I have been watching from the sidelines for a while.
I am a novice oxy gas welder (hobby), I hate my gas mig cause I can't get the wire feed to behave itself, and I can produce butt ugly arch welds that look beautiful with a grinder and some paint....

I am learning to weld mainly to restore my 1968 bay window kombi.

Hi Brad,

There's a few of us VW owners on here, most of us are here to learn how to stick them back together after the grinder showed us how much rust there is!

A 68! good luck most of that is 1 year only and twice the price of regular parts.

I don't know if there are any pictures of my 72 crossover on here but they're on earlybay.com, along with lots of others.

Yeah I know, I have the good fortune to buy a second 68 with great roof and main panels in good nick.
All the sills we can buy of a couple of guys that inport to aust from brazil.

Problem is, now I have the second bus, I think I want to either restore it or make it into a trailer
