Brazing Phosphor bronze PB 102.

Hi all,

Anyone got any tips on Brazing 12mm round PB 102 bronze together?

Filler, flux, technique - any info appreciated.

Got a potential job to join this structure and am used to brazing steel - I'd like to pre-empt any problems if possible!

Don't know, but silver soldering spring to mind.

Tanks for that - looks like a good company.

I have used copper rods to braze copper tube before, which went quite well - flowed nicely.
I'm at BOC this morning so will see what they have to say about it.

Hi again,

That job didn't pan out - the client got a solute from an engineering company that suggested a collar on the inside rather than external welds or solders.

oh well - thanks for your replies.

I did speak to my welding tutor about it - he thought normal brazing rods would be fine to use, and that the heat shouldn't be a problem, hopefully I'll put that to the test sometime.
