bridgeport collet types

Iv just bought a bridgeport of ebay its not arived yet as far as i can make out its got a J head on it which takes r8 collets.
My question is i have a load of 16mm threaded shank end mills but i cant seem to find a threaded 16mm r8 collet do i need some sort of arbour for them.

Just use a 16mm R8 split collet. You'd be hard pressed to get any slip/pull.

16mm collet as Matt says... Loads of my cutters are threaded, never had a problem.

Same here just put them in a standard R8.

mutch apreacheated everyone so i have got a bunch of usefull cutters then just need to have a go at sharpening them iv got a cutter grinder but never tryed to sharpen an end mill on it before only used it for reshaping and sharpening horizontal cutters to make them more suted to wood working when used in a 9" angle grinder
not hand held in case any ones concerned

I've touched up end mills and slot drills on a bench grinder. If you over-do the speeds and burn the very tips you can grind a little bevel on the corner and use them for roughing and they last a long time like that. Nowadays I do them on a Clarkson grinder which I adapted to take R8 collets so I can use the same ones as I use in the mill.
