broken compressor valve and clip

has anyone any idea where i can get replacement parts from in the uk

i got a quote for new valves and gaskets from the manufacturers in china, the prices were very reasonable but the postage was £50

i only really need replacements for the broken parts in the pic as the other parts are in good order and i can make my own gaskets.

i bought it s/h off ebay 5 years ago, never had a minutes bother with it until recently and it's had a fair bit of use too.

Well if any part is going to fail it'll be the valves !
Try asking the Chinese guys if there is a stockist in the UK or Europe ?

If its just those two bits could you not get someone with a plasma cutter to cut you some new ones ?

i've already asked them twice mate but they just insisted on giving me a price from themselves.
TBH they couldn't be more helpful and as mentioned, their prices were very reasonable compared to what uk prices would be, it's just the £50 postage that's the stinger especially to a yorkshireman

they are not just made of mild steel so not that simple, you could try and find some from a different machine slightly bigger and alter them yourself.

i would have thought that they are trying to rip you off with the £50.00 postage

They could be made out of shim steel by the look of them.

whats stopping u making the valves . are they spring steel ??

a mate who hasn't seen them yet reckons they could be high tensile steel, he's a fabricator by trade and he's going to have look, he says he may be able to sort something.
he lives about 90 miles away so i'll stick them in the post tomorrow.

might save me a few quid and save the kids from going without food for a week.

You could try some steel pallet banding thats pretty tough stuff, if its not too thick that is.

if its stainless measure the thickness and buy some shim stock to suit
