I haven't looked at them but guessing it's a simple kit of chemicals and a tank powered by battery?
Anyway, if so, that is only a part of plating. The first stage is to get the base metal to a finish you want, and for car bits that is a mirror finish so a lot of polishing, that is the most important stage.
I thought it was too good to be true! I have an austin a35 thats taxed and mot'd but just about every part of it is knackered! I'm gonna try and do as much myself as possible, as cheap as possible too cos i'm on a tight budget, now i know the bumpers would be way above me but there's the badges, bonnet and boot fixings that would not really be suitable for professional plating because they're made of base metal if you know what i mean. so was thinking of spraying them with a paint untill i saw the plating kits. But then again if the paint is that dear i,m not so sure about that either! Um back to the drawing baord me thinks!
