Well I am reading as much as I can, watching videos etc, but I still will never find an answer. I have a Static Arc MMA, so I have no prejudices against cheap welders, the MMA it's good, but only for 1mm and thicker. Does a cheap fluxcore good enough to tackle 0.7mm thin steel really exist? Some say you need a well known brand, some say you can try the Uptime or the Static Arc welder, some say you need gas otherwise you'll blow holes, some say you can try the Rohr or the Lidl (Parkside), some say you can do it with any machine as long as you go slowly using the stitch technique. Basically It would be helpful if there is some of you having a good experience about a cheap fluxcore for thin metal, something like 0.8 thin.

Cheaper, and easier (more repeatable as well) to just buy a tank of CO2 and run .023 s-6 solid wire.
Or try, fail, try some more, and then maybe get some good results.
And then blow holes in you project, and spend more time filling said holes.
many folk will tell you that gasless mig on cars is great

.......... Im not one of them , buy a bottle of gas and save the grief . Buy a welder you can get fixed either local dealer , or good warranty ,,, otherwise treat a cheap one as disposable.

I've rebuilt my Golf with this Welder and Lincoln NR211 Gasless wire.
It really was in a poor state.
No problems welding body panels.
Obviously more cleanup than Gas but not bad at all and doing the whole thing outside (in the wind at times) I'm more than happy how it's performed.
Did a bit today, nice and light to get set up, was a bit breezy but did the job.

how do you clean that up or is that the finished job and a sill cover.
I'm grinding it flat and some filler but it is under the sill cover anyway (that's why I joined it there).
Was going to do a full sill but only the bottom 1/4 was rotten.
treat yourself to a hand held joggler , they help a lot with those long sill joints , if you dont have one already.

, I bought the cheapest on ebay, called HZXVOGEN Mig 145, and so far so good, everything seems to work fine as long as you go slowly, stich technique on thin metal. Everything that was impossible on an arc welder, now is possible on a flux core. What a discovery for a beginner
