Bulb or led for this machine lamp

I picked up a few used machine lamps and none have a bulb. Would anyone happen to know what lamp bulb was originally fitted? Halogen maybe? I may just modify the fitting and hard wire a COB LED unless there is a simpler solution. I will be running 24 VDC.

Looks like the kind of fitting used on halogen reflector (GU?) bulbs.
If you can work out the fitting, you should be able to get an LED equivalent that'll fit in.

The photo shows a reflector already included in the fitting, so I am not sure a multi-reflector (MR) bulb, with its inbuilt reflector, is the correct original replacement. Also, he says he is runing on 24v.

I would like to use 24VDC because that's what the machine (surface grinder) already has available. I've no idea what this lamp originally used. I've got 2 or 3 of them to convert and install.

Thanks - I checked the dimensions. MR16 is slightly too big. MR11 would fit, maybe with some adaptation.

Yep, you beat me to it. Was just about to say that G4 have a pin spacing and capsule size that will fit. I should be able to get some tomorrow. Well that was easy.

Called in to the local electrical wholesalers this morning. They stock G4 halogen and LED but 12V only, not 24V. I could use them with a dropper resistor but I'd rather not. Plenty online so I'll have to wait a few days.
