Looks interesting and probably stressful to be making, more photos and a sense of scale perlease.
Looks a decent size.
I will laugh if it is 5" tall.
Photo confused me. Photographed from the front?
Very stressfull cos i don't want to ruin it,its 2mill mild steel with individual poeces hammered in the vice so they bulge out then very roughly welded together, made an ear but not big enough so going to start two more,er the eyes an tusks were hardest but i've never made oat before i just started playing an it took its own form, will try putting more pics up
Looks great, the eyes are always the hardest bits.
Not grinding the welds out is a great idea, horrible work doing it and they add to the whole in my book.
Are you doing the whole heffalump? or just the front end?
Looks like a hell of a job.
Just going to put a rod up behind it an weld to a simba disc an hide in the plant an bushes in the garden, like its charging.the eyes were just belted with the vice open by a small ballpen hammer
I normally do alot of chainsaw carving but got bored doin that, but prefer working with steel an i have lots of ideas too.
King penguin next as it exits water
