More old stuff unearthed - anyone any ideas if these were intended for use on metal or wood - they appear to have been used on wood. Most are branded “Wolf” which I presume dates back to when Wolf tools were half decent.

I've got a tin full of them. Useful at times. Bit of a butchers tool TBH. My dad got them when he worked at Birmingham Wolf Tools service centre. To give you some Idea of age, He started there when he was 15, Mine have to be 70 years old!

Good for a bit of occasional wood bothering

I needed to shape a small piece of wood & I thought the die grinder & a carbide burr would be ideal, well it would have been if it worked, but it hardly touched the wood, very slow a waste of time.

You need a really aggressive geometry like a router bit for wood
