cable lug crimpers ?

I'd like to make a pair of cable lug crimpers, I've got a pair of bolt croppers with worn out blades that could be refettled into a pair of these. It would be a big help if I could get the dimensions across the internal flats for the hexagonal dies. Anyone help ?

First one I need is 16 sqmm.

I have made a few dies for hydraulic crimpers.
I mailed terminal makers and asked the only one to reply was Nichifu, I think they said crimp should be between 5% and 13% of
total area; so the hex is 87% to 95% of the area.

Check the cable area and a terminal area and go from there. I say check the cable area, I am using tri-rated and it's
spot on the spec, but the other cables I checked varied quite a bit. If you can't work it out I will post the sums.

Just checked my lug crimpers, they give a hexagon form to the lug and measure 6.6 mm across the internal flats in the closed position on the 16 mm² setting.
