Hi,
I think i'm needing a bit more cfm for my plasma cutter. The plasma needs a continuous 70 psi. Its not too bad but at MAX my 150 lire campbel Hausfeld compressor is probably only putting out about 8cmf @ 90psi, which means the pump is running for long periods of time. The compressor has the standard 3.2hp motor.
3.2 Hp
* 3450 pump RPM
* 60 Hz
* 15 Amp
* 230/240V
My question's are what is the max pump upgrade I can do using that motor? Although i'd like to reuse the motor to keep costs down should I upgrade both the pump and motor to give me more than 14cfm, although i'd like to stick to using 240v rather than 3ph.
