can anyone edit this for me?

I've tried but it's out of my league

where it changes from round to hex the edges are rounded (looks like horizontal stripes in picture)

that needs to be flat, level with the lowest stripe

and the hex needs to be bigger, so the corners of the hex touch the edge of the round

hope I've explained it ok

Unless that's a parametric model in the file (I'm on my phone so can't check just now), it'll be easier to just create a new model from dimensions.
I can have a look when I get home tonight.

If you inscribe a hexagon in a circle of a particular diameter, the across flats measurement of the hexagon is unlikely to be a useful dimension.

It might be better to say 'I want a 13/17/19/whatever mm a/f hexagon with a circle passing through its corners'.

Happy to draw it for you (if you provide dimensions), or edit a STEP file, but there's not much useful that can be done with an STL.

I do not know if this will help. It is OpenSCAD and by changing the numbers at the top can make one the size you need. OpenSCAD will make an STL directly. FreeCAD will open OpenSCAD files and save as STEP if required.

I did a lot of 3d printing in the early days of 3d printers but never really got to grips with the design... my little nephew at the time loved the printer and spent loads of time designing stuff, so any time I needed anything I just asked him
