Can Anyone ID This Compressor Pump?

Bought this old compressor last week.

I'm not sure if it's on the original base but most of it appears quite old. It has had a new motor fitted, I might fit an older motor so that it looks more period.

I want to strip the pump & give it a check over. There is some leakage into the sump when it's warm so I suspect some ring or bore wear. I would like to ID the pump so I can check on the availability of spares. Here are some pics.

The only markings I can find is 'No 8450 London'

I tried to remove these 2 plugs which I assume give access to the valves - not a chance, even with a 3' breaker bar!

I think this is a water trap, it has a nice brass drain valve on the bottom.

I think it's a Broom & Wade or Broomwade compressor pump as the air filter is the same as my old one and the head casting layout with the valves is very very similar.
On my old one which I restored I had a broken ring althought the bore was fine. I tried Broomwade but the parts were horrendously expensive, £50.00 for the ring. I measured the bore and sourced a set that I could modify on Ebay from a Chinese company. Compressor works great now.

The valve covers may be rusty if it has been left in the open so why not soak it with Plus Gas (real penetrating oil, not WD40) and then try an impact wrench on it. The valves are quite reliable as they are a disc and spring arrangement, not a flap valve.

Impact wrench on the valves, make sure to use a well fitting impact socket.
Might need the compressor for the impact wrench

No idea on costs but there are firm(s) that make piston rings, if need be.

If it works it works !! some times the older ones are by far better than the modern pumps
looks like a broomwade to me.

I think it might be mostly original as I have found a compressor of a very similar design made by aerograph/Devilbiss.

The pump does look like a Broomwade, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It does make a nice chuffing noise, unfortunately that is drowned out by the noisy bearing on the modern replacement motor! I have a nice old brooke motor similar to the ones in these pics which would be a much more suitable replacement.
