Basically I got this leaflet through the door from UU saying how they're fitting a water meter to our property.
It says that I can still choose to be on a non-metered tariff and if the meter reader shows a reading that would be cheaper I will only pay the lower price regardless.
This lasts for 2 years I can then choose to go onto a metered tarrif or not.
This all sounds fine and dandy and I know I'll save money being on a meter but I just don't want one. Like at all.
Do I have any ground to stand on in refusing a water meter? The leaflet does not mention anyone having a choice in the matter.

I don't meet any of the criteria that means the water company can insist I have one. (large bath maybe? nice of them to be specific...)
The leaflet harps on about how this is for mine and the countries benefit blah blah blah but it just comes across as a load of ******** to me, why would they ever go out of their way to benefit the customer. I've yet to contact them as I'm working nights but I plan on doing so.
