Can you tell me more about this MEM star-delta starter unit?

I acquired this unit, without really looking at it too hard, in the thoughts that it could be useful to me for my rapidor saw...

I then realised its 3ph, so am trying to tie down exactly what it is to be able to re-sell it.


It seems to have more going on in there than just contactors (eg timers etc) and the "ADS7" model number on the front of the paperwork pulls up photos on google of smaller units, so im assuming its a range, rather than a specific model?



Basically im wanting to put it on ebay, but want to list it correctly, both so as people find it, but also so as i dont get bother down the line - im unfamiliar with 3ph kit, but i figure someone here may instantly recognise it?

It's just a star delta starter, the timers are there to start the motor in star configuration, after the timer elapses the contactors switch the motor to delta for full power running.

ADS7 is the range, but looking at the picture of the contactor its likeley its the 38-57 amp version. I cant make out from the pics but the contactors will also have a coil voltage on them somewhere which will tie up with the other column, ie 110,220, 240,380 or 415

The blue sticker in the third photo certainly mentions "Ie=38-57 A"

Ive spotted another sticker that i had not seen before (not in the photos) that states -

30kw (40HP) 415V 3ph AC3
Coil Supply 240v~50/60Hz

and "5727SDA" - which ties up with the table (ie 38-75 across and 240 down comes to "5717 SDA")


Is this all i need to list then, for a potential purchaser to know what exactly they're getting?

Yes, I would say so. That info gives them the control voltage and the rating of the unit so it should be fine.

I think it's 5727, not 5717 by the way - you seem to have got mixed up in the line above!!
