as a one off up to 40cm high I charge £25 plus any postage...
For 'one off's' I think you are undercharging, before I saw your reply stating the price I had estimated around the £40 mark.. and even then I may be undervaluing the work
Atomant...I draw the image on the PC and export it as a dxf then convert it to a tap file then Mach3 converts this to gcode - the cnc then does its magic!!
I think i know what you mean Gerry, ive been trying to find an outlet for my stuff but people seem to want things way to cheap,or they haven't a clue in what's involved.
The market you aim at usually dictates what you can charge, there will be markets for your profiles where the buyers will value the individual work and be prepared to pay for it.
An avenue I would consider is the equestrian market, I did some fancy brackets for a row of 6 stables to hang a sign on each to identify the horse, luckily I thought I would ask a silly price and it was paid without question 3x what I would have normally charged.
Perhaps an advert in some magazine showing a completed profile of some one's horse or a stall at some of this summers country shows, as well as the horsey fraternity there is the dog breeders/showers.
Thanks Steve..some good ideas there. I need to get my finger out and finish my new website...I keep putting it off for some reason (laziness??)...I'll get back on it!!
