Been a busy since the Snow has gone and can get into the garage without getting hypothermia.

They're made out of 100mm box section - free
40mm galv U section - Free
50mm box from local supplier
40mm box ditto
16 wheels from ebay and m10 and nuts and bolts

I think it was about £40 all in for the pair. There is another one that's holding the back up too. Didn't get any pics of that

Could do with a lick of paint, The 100mm box was left out in a yard over winter together with the galvy stuff, but its only surface rust and wire brushed off. Lick of hammershite should do the trick

Next is a trolley for the welder, Hopeful all out off scrap pluss some castors

One Side done

And the other

Stands up on its own

Even holds the Car up

It's a 2.8 Capri before you all ask.

another use for uni strut!

Is that what the galvi U section is called,, uni strut? I know its for electrical use because I scrounged a couple of bits off a spark once to mount my comp motor on.

dunno what its called, but it was free. Thick galvy on it and not nice to weld. cant get the grinder to the inside of the section.

its great stuff you can get all kind of brackets for it even little trolleys that goes inside it

been thinking of making something like those for a while but the cost of the wheels was putting me of. how heavy duty are those wheels as the ones i saw you couldnt get for that price

which seller was it please?
