Hi made some stools to get my car off the ground.

They`re great and very nicely put-together.

What height did you go for; was it determined by the height of a high-lift trolley jack?

they are very good they would be even better with removable sections and ramps

I take it you jack the front up first then the rear when raising & do the rear first then the front when lowering?

Now you do know that the engine is in the back, right?

Very nice. Problem with sporties is that the ramp angle has to be really low to clear spoiler and air dams etc. So that's a neat solution. I'm just about to make some for my 4x4, but they'll be ramps. They look very solid indeed and nicely finished too. I presume that the green thing in the foreground is some sort of BOTTLE jack?

Beetlejac I saw these on the Covin site and I just came on here to find out if anyone nearby could make me a set! They're a great idea and I'd love it if you could make me some. I notice you're not a million miles away from me either so if you did fancy welding some up I could pay you or give you something for them? Do you like beer?

i have a hydraulic tilting ramp but it is no use for doing an exhaust i was thinking of building higher ones roughly 1000 mm high do you think they would be stable enough ? that way i can let ramp down onto the stools and get underneath to do exhaust or wayoil
