Carbide tips for brazing on bent, shaped or straight key steel etc

A while ago I mentioned using home made carbide tipped cutters on my lathe after I got a mixed bag of carbide tips several years ago .,
A few minutes ago I got this advert for them , worth it if you are able to braze them on key steel shanks for things like wood turning tools & cutters & numerous other hand grindable cuter tips .

If you have a diamond wheel, they are any shape you want.
Sometimes even intentionally.......

I used to take handfuls of worn/broken/unused tips out of the carbide bin at my local scrappy.
Homebodged cutting tools usually got a bit of carbide brazed on as a cutting edge.

Run the wheel wetted from an oil wick.....

you going to need a green wheel for carbide, Machine Mart do them. need a mask as a priority as the dust is unmerciful when grinding carbide

I dare say we could get together ( within the site's rules ???) say 6 of us and each buy a pack of different tips then take one sixth and pass on the other 5/6 ths to the other interested parties . That would save one guy buying big packs of all sizes then splitting them up & trying to sell them or being stuck with half of the expense if only half were sold .
