Finally managed to get this back from my sister.
First life casting I did: nowadays, I know it was poured too hot + gassy, and I didn't burn out the mould enough.
But, first attempt, c. 2005, done with a "foxhole" furnace, tin can crucible, and BBQ charcoal nuggets (not even real charcoal!).
Perfumed wax candles, hobby craft latex, Asda own brand talcum powder, and t'bay alginate.
I used a 50/50 mix of plaster of Paris/rough sand (from b&q) for the mold.
