Thought I’d share these I made for @Mick Annick
Cast iron and will be machined on the Devlieg. Unfortunately my small Blanchard is down and the big one isn’t commissioned yet
I’m not making anymore, I just kept to my word on these as anything like this is now financially disastrous

Just out of curiosity , like fireball tooling , you didnt knock the sharp edge off the big 90 , was there a reason , it struck me that a relief say an inch at that corner would have been handy ,,,
they look like the thing you would make with whatever was left in the pot at the end of the day , a win win for the foundry and yourself ... handy bit of kit to own though ... tidy job as usual .

They're lovely. Understand it's not worth it for you to do them though, although I'd love a few and am in the market for them as we speak

@pressbrake1 surely you put them up for a price that includes a profit ..if no one buys ..its no problem ..if they do your happy to do the work ..or P.O.A so you can adjust for movement in costs.

I’m genuinely not interested it such things
Castings are a long wait sometimes, just a load of faffing
Tbh I’ve succumbed to the lure of London work smashing stuff out so I’m really considering scrapping the workshop

POA always puts my back up, dont think I have ever phoned in to find out the cost of an item marked POA. As with all these things the only real way to market them is to knock out a batch and then advertise them.

And that’s too expensive unfortunately and a risk
I don’t mind poa on hand made stuff but when it’s a second hand tool dealer that means however much of a sucker they think you are which makes me disgruntled

there is a video on the fireball tool guy , and hes totally geared up to make this sort of thing , but his workshop is massive , the process is just about totally automated , he must have millions invested in machines alone its mighty , but he cant get the price down to what you would class as an impulse buy point , so to make a few and have to absorb the costs would be cruel ,,, the costs have to be met , one off for yourself is one thing , but you cant loose money on products every day and expect to stay in business .

He’s definitely got production foundry patterns

Castings cost me £130 each inc vat plus shipping
If machining a few I reckon I could fixture so £40 machining. That’s £170 , ok it’s much heavier section than fireball but it’s a few quid
