Hi all,
I bought a trailer not long ago which has turned out to be too small for my needs so after deciding to strip it for refurb to sell on ive noticed both hubs are damaged. The guy i bought it off must have over tightened the bolts and snapped the hub fixing (as per photo)
Two new hubs are £56 + VAT each, so dont really want to go down that route as the cost of the trailer didnt even come to the combined price of the hubs. So what im asking is, would it be possible to clean the area and build up a new fixing point with cast rods then shape, drill and tap a new hole for the wheel stud?
Ive never welded cast before hence the anticipation of welding to a hub!
Thanks
Dean
