Hello everyone, i`ve been checking out the forum for a little while as i had my welder stolen and was wondering what to replace it with. I bought another cebora 130, it seems like quite a good little welder and i only do my own repairs/projects. But i bought it from ebay and as i expected it`s come with problems. One was the gas not coming through which i`ve put down to a worn/damaged o-ring in the on/off tap. The other i think is a bit more serious, there`s no ark. The motor and wire feed work and the line feed to the gun seems to have been replaced. On the circuit board i found blackening around the resistor(3.3ohms/7w) so i`ve bought a replacement from maplin but the rating is 3.3ohms/10w, it`s also physically larger but they said that the difference wouldn`t matter, is this right?. Can anyone tell me what could have caused the resistor to blow(if it has), how much it`s likely to cost please. I do have limited electrical knowledge so please keep any replies simple, my brain tends to shrivel if things sound too technical.
Thanks Jon
