CEBORA 852 Live torch fault

HI was hoping someone could advise on the following problem with an old Cebora 852 mig.
The torch is remaining live in use, the gas solenoid remains on , the Contactor Relay remains on to when turned on. The wire supplying the smoothing capacitors from power setting switch was badly corroded/overloaded .

I have done the following to try to repair, checked pcb visual, replaced white power control relay , replaced euro torch connector, cleaned and checked wiring checked operation of contactor relay seems ok , removed cap bank from welder.

The fault seems to be remain and be the same no matter what u do with it. Any advice will be very helpful with this welder as it is a very good little machine thanku again .

Is the fault present with the torch disconnected?

Do you have access to another euro torch as that would completely eliminate the possibility of it being a torch fault

Good afternoon should have also said I have two other working torches and tryed them and a new one same prob thx

HI the fault is present with torch connected and disconnected which lead me to the relay on pcb but no luck there with it in and tested with it out new fitted anyway at 16 amp

If you look at the contactor you should see a small button/peg that can be used to manually operate the contactor. With the power OFF check that this button/peg is up/out. Then turn ON power and watch the peg to see if it pulls in at power up. If it does then it is receiving voltage at it's coil that it should not be until the trigger is pulled. If this is happening then you need to follow the coil wires back to the pcb and check components there.
This is all assuming that the peg is not stuck down before you even power up, if so then contactor is stuck ON. Stick up some pics of machine.

HI Mike when the welder is turned off the peg is free in the on position contactor peg is locked down with a mechanical clunk and does not release until it is turned off will get some photos thanku again
