Cebora 883

I’ve just bought an old Cebora 883 to weld the front panel on my L200 pick up. It’s got the little pipe for hobby gas at minute. An I swap this over to the bigger bottles, if so what do I need?
Also can I swap for a Euro torch and also if so how do I do it

The pipe swap is as simple as getting a regulator to suit the bottle you use and just connecting the ends togeather some how.
If you have the hard type hose then a pushfit to hose tail adaptor or a pushfit to threaded would work. Or, fit a quick connect to the regulator outlet and another to the hose. If you use the rectus 21 style they are easily available individually so you can just get the single ones you need for both ends.

The euro conversion is a little more involved and a bit more expensive.
Any particular reason you want to do it?

Yes, you can get a push fit converter pipe for the 4 mm hose (or make one) so that you can use a proper size regulator.
You can't fit a Euro torch to it as there's no case to anchor the fitting to, just plastic. IIRC, the torch takes MB15 parts.

Old Ceboras are good but I don't rate the Pocket MIG (883 and 880 models).
They are toy-like. Permanently live torch, a poor wire feed tensioner mech, and only a 0.6 groove roller. Although they have a rheostat for wire speed control, not a PCB (so less to fail).

There was one that sold for a crazy £170 on Ebay over the weekend, hopefully you didn't buy that one...
Here's one I fixed up last year and sold for 60 or 70 quid:

Not really, the torch on there looks a bit old and scabby and thought if I’m going to change torch change to Euro one that I’m reading about

I won mine for £45 a bargain I hope if it’s all ok.

As long as yours is working ok and you can get consumables at a decent price then I would run with it.
The conversion kit and a torch will probably cost as much as the welder and won't give massive performance gains

That's more like it. The more experienced on here seem to think it's not so bad.
For me, a live torch on the 80s DIY machines really didn't help with learning to weld, for the sake of a couple of quids worth of electronics.
