Cebora Autostar 160 pcb fuse blowing

View media item 9550I own an old Autostar 160 MIG welder (15-20 years I think) that has been very reliable over the years.
I went to use it recently and the wire feed wasn't working. I removed the pcb to find that the fuse had blown. I replaced it and it began working again but has now stopped again. Does anyone know what the correct fuse value should be for this machine (maybe the ones I have are too small) as the manual is no longer around or can think of another issue that may be causing the problem?

is there not markings on the actual fuse ? a lot are marked

It was leant to a workshop in its lifetime and they bought a pack of fuses from RS (presumably replacing the original one with the same specs)
I have no way of checking if they are correct or if the problem stems from something else...it feels like the current spike on operation is blowing the fuse too quickly?
Will check the markings and try and get a photo of the pcb.

I was going to ask you to look at the sides of the cans on the end of the original fuse and then realised it was probably long gone

sometimes circuit boards have white printing on the top and if you were really lucky it could well say something like 2a slow blow fuse (only an example not what I think it will be)

fuses come in quick blow, slow blow and standard forms so the same amp rating isn't necessarily good enough

I've had a look through the manuals on the Cebora website (Art.705-s and Art.850 for MIG 160) but no mention of fuse ratings. I'm going to check on rate of blow and see if that is too quick.

Just got a reply back from Cebora saying that this isn't one of their machines...this has made things even more confusing. Does anyone know who did make this machine?
