cebora Euro Weld....help!!!!!

Hi all.....my ex partner has emigrated to Oz and left a Cebora Euro Weld machine in my garage.....I have no idea what it does and want to be rid of it ....it just has 300 art/item 1789.......

What I want to know is....is it of any monetary value or should I just skip it?..thanks a million....kerry

Hi Kerry, google almost draws a blank on that model but I think it could be a tig welder. A couple of questions which should confirm, does it have the torch/lead set with it? If so, does it look a similar shape to this or this?
Is there any chance you could take a few pics of it and upload them to the forum? If it's a useable machine then I'm sure someone on here would be interested in buying it.

Thanks guys...much appreciated....it doesn't have a torch or lead set....its bloomin huge and very heavy...it has two wheels to the rear and is blue in colour!! when I googled 'Cebora' all the equipment was red so its prob an old model....

Will take a pic when I go home and post it.....its all gobblydegook to me so pls excuse me if I sound thick!!

Maze it looks like a 3phase arc welder to me. the red plug with 4 pin connection means 3 phase. Cant see the side panel details very well (one with all the writing on).
Yes it does have money value to the right person as to how much i dont know

If you do advertise it, it may be worth pointing out that the output is DC, which would make it more useful and valuable.
From the size of it, and the logo "300" - probably 300 Amps ?
Knowing very little about 3-phase - why only 4 pins in the red plug ? No neutral, or no earth ?

it is 400Vsp so uses two phases instead of all three so doesn't use or need a neutral. The earth is the bigger of the 4 pins.

Thanks for that eddie49......is there anyway I could buy an adapter to make sure that it is still in working condition as its sat in the garage/workshop since last year???

Im sure its fine just wouldn't be happy selling on.... unless I seen it working!

Kerry, you only have 230v coming into your house, to convert that to 400v is prohibitively expensive. It's far better to sell it as untested or spares/repair. Someone will take a chance on it, I'm sure .

it might run at 230V as well with a bit of poking about inside. But do as Woz says as sell as untested,

Just wanted to say a big Thank You to all you guys for your invaluable advice!!! It was really appreciated.....

I listed it on Ebay and got the pricely sum of £28.00 but at least I freed up valuable garage space...and made enough for a curry and nice bottle of wine...lol...so better than skipping it after all...

Nice one Kerry! £28 isn't a lot for what it was but as you were unlikely to ever use it at least it's hopefully gone to someone who will.
