Hi guys,
Just got this through the post today and doesnt seem to be any place for putting gas into the welder? I wondered if this was a gas welder or not?

If you have one of these or know about them any info would be great. Even better if there were pics i could look at to see if anything is missing.

Forgive my stupidity on this i am new to welding and its a long road to become any good.

That small diameter white pipe going into side where the wire reel is is the gas line, you need a regulator to go on it.

Is it a standard fit regulator or a special one?
What size of wire is it 0.6mm on which size reel?

Which regulator you need will depend on what type of gas and what size cylinder you'll be using.
If you plan on using (*clears throat and spits*) disposables then you'll need one of these but if you go down the sensible route of refillable ones then you'll need one of these or one of these depending if your cylinder is side or top entry.
To throw another spanner in the works, you could decide to use pure CO2 in which case you'll need this one.
Argon/CO2 is the mix of choice though plain CO2 is considerably cheaper if you have a supplier near you.
Hope that lot hasn't confused you too much.

Wire size, I'm not sure what that machine will take but it's a tiddler and it looks like it may only take the mini (0.7kg) reels. 0.8 would probably do you for pretty much everything.

ill probably have to find a local supplier to help with this decision, not going disposible though i can say that.
Any info on costs of the other choices and which you guys use?
