Cebora spot 3500

hi guys Ive been after a stud/pin welder for a while and have just been offered a cebora spot 3500 for a reasonable price - Im having a bit of a problem finding info about it on the web and was wondering if anyone could shed some light as to what attachment it should come with , cost new , quality of the machine etc.

I've just seen this machine and it does have a few small parts missing - it needs a hook for the slide hammer , one or two spot welding electrodes and the pin gripper attachment for the slide hammer. Its a little rough round the edges ( gun has been dissassembled and bolted back together) it does however work on all functions ,next PAT test due in jun 2013 so it seems to have been maintained by a garage... comes with the original trolley and a shed load of tristar hooks. The guy wants 150 is it worth it?

Hi again.... I ended up offering the guy 80 quid for this because it was missing a few bits , got it home and it won't work ? I managed a few welds but now everytime I pull the trigger , it blows a fuse in my house. Is this a problem with the machine or my electrical supply? Thanks again.

OB if you try adjusting the power right down to bottom then try again it prob won't weld but you are just testing to see if it operates (on your supply) There are several functions are there not? Try on other functions. What does the rating plate on it say as to power requirements?

Thanks for your reply mike ,
the welder did half a dozen spot welds before it tripped the fuse on the last one. Now , every time the trigger is pulled it trips the fuse ,this happens when trying to spot weld or not. before the fuse trips it does manage to flash a quick weld before the power is cut???
Ive tried it on a heat setting (on the lowest power) and still the same.
Im a bit confused because it worked at the sellers house and once I got it back... not like I damaged it in transit.

Not sure what socket/supply you are running it from but the 32A on the spec plate is a clue! You'll prob find it uses capacitors that charge up in prepriation to "spot" these will take a fare bit of power to charge. You may have to find someone with a proper supply to retest it. Or maybe the old electric cooker socket trick?
