Cebora tig torch wiring

Hi everyone. An old friend who does all my machinist jobs (and I do his welding ones) has a cebora tig (tig sound 1530 ac dc) that he bought new quite a few years ago as a stick welder (mislead by the seller) and he only used it as one of course. Since it was sold like that it didn't come with a tig torch. Lately I've been welding quite a few things for hi in stainless (filling shafts to be machined amongst other things). Well I'm tired of dragging my tig to there so I thought putting his little cebora to work (he thought it was a great idea and will pay me the same as long as I provide the gas and so on as before) I've a spare torch that I fitted a switch tonight to use with his welder. Also ordered a plug from the oficial cebora dealer here but they weren't helpful telling which pins to connect... Anyway the plug should be here tomorrow and I've a little doubt about the two pins that I've to wire to the switch mainly because in the wiring diagram that I saw on cebora website they use a symbol that I've never seen used to represent a switch.
I think that I need to connect the pins 1 and 9 but someone more electrically inclined probably can help to be sure, I've atacched a picture of the wiring diagram. Thanks :-).

By the way a couple pictures of the torch that will be fitted. Since it will be mostly stainless that will be welded I fitted it with a gas lens that I had also as a spare. The torch is a french one equivalent to wp 26 (how I hate those "hammers")

Thanks Appyasme, I wasn't really thinking when I posted this thread, since by the diagram I was almost certain that it was pin 1 and 9. Today right after dinner I went to my machinist friend shop and did the obvious, picked up a little piece of wire and connected those 2 pins and hf kicked in and gas flowed so it's good to go. I've just finished soldering and assembling the plug

I've got one of those to do tomorrow, poxy little Cebora plugs, I'd have confirmed the pin numbers for you if I'd have seen this thread earlier.

Thanks anyway Jim, before trying it with the wire to confirm I thought of sending you a PM, when it comes to machine repairs I've noticed that you have lots and lots of knowledge. You're right the plugs are tiny really but lot's of other ones are. The ones on my thermal arc are even smaller!
By the way what's your opinion on the cebora machines?

You're right about the Thermal Arc plugs! I did one of those for the first time this week and they don't leave any spare room at all.
I like Ceboras, I feel they lost their way for a while a good few years back, that's why we stopped selling them. But I think they have improved over the last five years or so from what I hear. No first hand experience of modern ones myself though. They always welded nice, even when they had reliability problems the arc itself was good, and you got a lot of features and tech for the money but they aren't cheap now compared to other brands.

Since we're talking about plugs I never buy them from the brand itself, I check the pin configuration and buy them online at farnell. The only one I bought from the brand itself was this cebora and it was just because it was out of stock at farnell, I paid 32€ for it! The thermal arc ones I buy them in pieces at farnell, the plug itself the outer case and the pins. Everything I think in total cost near 9€ (those were the last ones I bought so I kind of remember the prices)..
You're right the cebora machines nowadays cost as much as other brands that I consider superior. For instance their 150 amp ac dc model (TIG SOUND AC-DC 1531/M) retails here for 2400€ + vat.(The dealer gave me a catalog when I picked up the plug). But their transformer based mig's still have interesting prices.
I couldn't agree more with you about the arc quality at least in stick I really liked their inverters (the only ceboras I used were inverter stick or tig's in stick mode with 7018)
