Ceramic gas shroud size help pls

I need to order on line some new ceramic shrouds but I'm struggling to see what size to order..

I have a 160 DC esab tig buddy..

The only number I can find on the black rubber neck is a number six or nine.. The outer edges of the thread part of the shroud appear to be half an inch.. I've looked in the manual etc and can't see anything..

someone more knowledgeable will be Lo g shortly, but I am sure there is a way to measure them based on the bore at the nozzle where the tungsten sticks out

It looks like a 9 so you need series 2 consumables.

I would have said it was a 9 too..

Talk about making things difficult to identify though..

It comes with an Esab ET 17 torch which i guess is like a wp17.

I changed the torch on my buddy tig 160 to a wp9 type which was smaller than the one it came with.

The torch you have requires WP9/20 consumables

Wyn you are right the buddy Tig does come supplied with a WP17 torch as a package, Noods torch has also been changed for a smaller one like yours has .

It's a number 6 (a #9 would have a much larger step at the threaded end), the numbers refer to the nominal bore size in 1/16 ths of an inch so a #6 = 3/8 (6/16) or around 9.5mm, they typically measure up slightly oversize
