CFM & Air Fed Masks

Hi All,
After some help please -want to spray 2K, a van first then motorbikes.

I have 2 x 100l SGS compressors which quote 14.6 CFM. I was expecting to link those together to provide enough air for the spray gun.

I then wanted to use an old (but lightly used) compressor for an air fed mask. I'm being told I should consider the quoted CFM of 7.06 as an over estimate and for safety expect 70%. This would leave me 4.942 CFM...aire masks seem to be around 5.3! Can I simply turn the supply down a little or is that a bit silly?

Also, to un both compressors (the 2 x 100l) I'm being told there maybe electricity supply issues if they both kick in at once -is that correct and how do I control that?

Re the last point, it could be a problem, simply adjust the pressure switches so they kick in at slightly different pressures.

Your mask wants to be over rather than under

Think the mask I have uses over 9 cfm but difficult to tell as devilbiss and sperian both supply the same mask and both quote different air requirements. You also need a three stage filter set to go with this as well

that said many have a take off from the belt pack for the gun so plug that and i think you may be ok...

Rig it up and see if the compressor keeps up.
You don't want 10bar pressure in your face so need to regulate the pressure down, so your compressor might be fine
